Department Overview

The Finance Department is responsible for all revenue collections including taxes, utility billing, special assessments, and all other fees. The department is also responsible for the payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for the village. The finance director maintains all financial records and oversees the yearly audit by a contracted CPA firm.

Responsibilities


The Finance Department is specifically responsible for collecting and reporting all revenues received by the village. These include revenues directly collected by the Finance Department and revenues collected by other areas and reported to the Finance Department. Revenue transactions conducted at the Finance Department include:
  • Payment for current year tax bills
  • Payment for utility bills (water/sewer)
  • Payment for current invoices
  • Payment for special assessments
